Good speed that stays good even when you're loaded down with cargo.
The Hawk turns very well. That and its toughness make it a standard for many of Titan's pirates.
High Target profile. It's hard to miss a Hawk. Only the Death's Head is easier to hit.
Stay moving in dogfights to offset your high target profile. Don't rely on the Hawks touted toughness. I've found that it doesn't make much difference once your shields are down and you're still taking hits.
The Hawk was the first ship I ever bought in the game. It was the first ship I ever completed the plot in. I'll never forget how cool it was to have the Hawk's unobstructed windshield and extra speed.
I don't use Hawks much anymore. They make a great scavenging craft, but I don't scanvenge as a profession much.
